As you may have understood, my blog is dedicated to the organization by oneself of the most beautiful events of life and, in particular, of the wedding! Indeed, I love imagining, planning, organizing to try to achieve the most beautiful result possible on the big day and not regret anything afterwards. On this subject, the decoration of the wedding hall is a vast subject which requires, it seems, a lot of research! I admit I spent hours and hours on it with my husband (thanks Pinterest), but what a pleasure when you like it...

In this article, based on what we did at our own wedding, I present you some inspirations for your wedding hall decoration (and also a gift idea for your guests!), in a style both natural and elegant! I hope you will like it and that it will help you.

1. Clouds of flowers (pampas, eucalyptus, hydrangea balls, snapdragons and peonies)

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Solara - Blog

These hanging plants may seem seen and seen again, but I can assure you that they are the ones that will give all the effect to your wedding hall, that instantly catch the eye, and it is a decoration that remains airy, natural and elegant at the same time.

Moreover, their composition can be declined endlessly, according to the seasons and your desires... Indeed, in our case, we called Rollin' Garden (which I recommend you by the way!) and chose to mix fresh and dried to give freshness to the whole, a plant aspect, but it is quite possible to imagine suspensions all in pampas, all in foliage, all in dried flowers, all in gypsophila, monochrome, multicolored, etc. Their shape can also be multiple!

In any case, it is their volume that will give the wow effect to the room and these hangers will set the tone as to the style you want to give to your entire wedding hall decoration. If you make this choice, it will really be the major element of your decoration, so don't neglect it!

2. Centerpieces in personalized wooden wine crates with fresh herbs

On the tables, by personal taste, we did not want, neither tablecloth, nor table runner, to keep the raw aspect of the wood. We were also looking for an alternative to the flowery centerpieces and after (a long) reflection we came up with this idea which I will explain to you in more detail right away.

First, we bought raw wine crates (classic bottle size, 75cl) directly from Nicolas. Then, we bought a wooden stencil from Schleiper for all the letters of the alphabet and numbers and a can of brown acrylic paint (Talens Amsterdam, shade 409, burnt umber) and stenciled on the wooden cases, on one side, the place of our wedding (Domaine de Ronsard, in the Perche, in Normandy), on the other side, the table number and finally, on each side, a little heart. Here is something to occupy your long winter evenings ;-)

Then, in these now personalized wooden boxes, we wanted to put fresh aromatic herbs so that it would be an original touch of green as a reminder of the clouds of flowers, that it would also smell good in the room, could be tasted by the guests for fun or to season the dishes, and also to be able to share them at the end of the wedding.

So, in the wooden crates, we put a bottom of aluminum foil. Then, we slipped in the various fresh herbs still in pots (bought in store at Carrefour Bio - we kept them green until the wedding with Evian mist on the foliage and also thanks to the chance of a cool outside temperature), then, we covered the pots with hemp mulch to make the whole thing uniform.

Finally, inside, to accentuate the planter effect, we stitched small slates (found on Vinted) reminding the table number written with chalk, to make it even more visible and easy to find for the guests!

3. Mini bouquets of dried flowers (eucalyptus, miscanthus, natural gypsophila and purple limonium)

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Solara - Blog

This is perhaps the element, in hindsight, that I would have fleshed out more for a fuller effect on the table, but I present it to you anyway. These were mini dried flower bouquets I made myself beforehand using eucalyptus, miscanthus, natural gypsophila and purple limonium.

I ordered the miscanthus and the natural gypsophila on Flowrette's website, which offers bunches of dried flowers, and I bought the eucalyptus and the purple limonium fresh from my local market on Sunday morning on Place Jourdan in Etterbeek, which I then dried. All that was left to do was to assemble the bouquet and close it with a natural jute string! Finally, as for the mismatched glass mini-vases, they were provided by the Domaine de Ronsard.

4. Mismatched brass candle holders with white candles

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Solara - Blog

At the Domaine de Ronsard where we got married, we were lucky enough to have a lot of vintage decor provided and, as mentioned earlier, not only the mini glass vases, but also the mismatched brass candle holders.

We simply found on Vinted white candles from the brand Papstar (which can also be bought on their own site or on Amazon, in many other colors...).

5. Mismatched vintage dinnerware (plates, silverware, glasses and water jugs)

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Groom - Bride - Fanion - Pennant - Flag - Jute - Solara - Blog

Once again, it is fortunate that all the mismatched and vintage tableware is provided by the Domaine de Ronsard! By the way, so are the rectangular wooden tables and mismatched chairs. We simply added two burlap "groom and bride" pennants to the back of our bridal chairs, from PartyDeco, found on Vinted (but they can also be found on the Bol website).

6. Sage green cotton napkins

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Menu - Cocotte - Papier - Paper - Kraft - Serviette - Napkin - Coton - Cotton - Vert - Sauge - Sage - Green - Faites - Scintiller - Entrée - Mariés - Carton - Cierge - Scintillant - Sparkling - Candle - Make - Groom - Bride - Entrance - Sparkle - Solara - Blog

We had originally imagined linen or cotton gauze napkins to give a nice natural effect, but after some reflection, we didn't find it very practical for the guests and preferred to make the more classic choice of cotton napkins, in a pretty pastel sage green. We found these napkins at Mondial Tissus (Essentiel model, size 40x40cm).

7. Wedding menus printed on kraft paper birds

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Menu - Cocotte - Papier - Paper - Kraft - Serviette - Napkin - Coton - Cotton - Vert - Sauge - Sage - Green - Faites - Scintiller - Entrée - Mariés - Carton - Cierge - Scintillant - Sparkling - Candle - Make - Groom - Bride - Entrance - Sparkle - Solara - Blog

I had spotted this regressive idea of a wedding menu printed on a paper bird for a long time on Pinterest, but it took me a while to convince my French-German husband, who didn't know the principle of paper birds...! Well, apparently, in his defense, it is not known in Germany :-) We made these paper birds in French and in German.

Here is the link to download to create your menu in PowerPoint format, you just have to modify the texts, add images if you wish, save the final version of your PowerPoint in PDF format and finally print it on the A4 paper of your choice.

Warning: this A4 paper should not be too thin to remain qualitative, but not too thick either to be able to cut the paper and fold the paper bird to the end. We chose the Clairefontaine kraft drawing pad (50 laid brown sheets 120g/m2), found in the store at Schleiper and which was very good.

Finally, here is on this link how to fold a paper bird in pictures. All you have to do is to fold it as many times as you need and kindly ask your friends and family to help you ;-)

8. Sparkle sticks with "Make Bride and Groom Entrance Sparkle" labels

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Menu - Cocotte - Papier - Paper - Kraft - Serviette - Napkin - Coton - Cotton - Vert - Sauge - Sage - Green - Faites - Scintiller - Entrée - Mariés - Carton - Cierge - Scintillant - Sparkling - Candle - Make - Groom - Bride - Entrance - Sparkle - Dentelle - de - Papier - Solara - Blog

To involve our guests in our musical entrance to the wedding hall at dinner, we placed a sparkle stick on each plate with a kraft paper label and gold writing "Make Bride and Groom Entrance Sparkle". We ordered these labels from the lovely online store Dentelle de Papier.

To my regret, I discovered after the wedding that the sparkle sticks also exist in gold (but they apparently light up less well, to be verified). It's too bad, the sparkle sticks would have looked even better in gold! Yes, yes, the difference is in the details in my eyes :-)

Attention: don't forget to remind the guests not to set themselves on fire (no pun intended) by raising their arms with the sparkle sticks if there is for example a cloud of flowers just above them or any other flammable element!

Finally, don't forget to make sure your guests know where to put the sparkle sticks once they are used! In our case, our awesome witnesses went straight to the tables with zinc buckets for guests to drop them in.

9. Guest gift: mini Breton bowls personalized with their first name

Domaine - de - Ronsard - Grange - Barn - Fleur - Flower - Séché - Dried - Nuage - Cloud - Pampa - Pivoine - Peony - Eucalyptus - Guirlande - Lumière - Light - Garland - Table - Chaise - Chair - Bois - Wood - Salle - Mariage - Dîner - Wedding - Hall - Dinner - Perche - Normandie - Normandy - Champêtre - Boho - Bohême - Country - Chic - Nature - Elegant - Hortensia - Hydrangea - Rose - Pink - Blanc - White - Vert - Green - Poutre - Beam - Bougie - Candle - Vintage - Vaisselle - Tableware - Herbe - Aromatique - Aromatic - Herb - Centre - Center - Vase - Verre - Glass - Chandelier - Laiton - Brass - Candleholder - Brique - Brick - Pierre - Stone - Idée - Idea - Inspiration - Menu - Cocotte - Papier - Paper - Kraft - Serviette - Napkin - Coton - Cotton - Vert - Sauge - Sage - Green - Faites - Scintiller - Entrée - Mariés - Carton - Cierge - Scintillant - Sparkling - Candle - Make - Groom - Bride - Entrance - Sparkle - Mini - Bol - Breton - Bowl - Personnalisé - Prénom - Nicolas - Caisse - Vin - Personnalized - Name - Cadeau - Invité - Wine - Box - La - Trinitaine - Solara - Blog

Here is an idea with a double function: place card and guest gift! We found out about this mini version of the Breton bowls on the website of the Breton cookie factory La Trinitaine (for those who don't know, you also have the moral duty to taste their Breton galettes and palets) and we found it perfect as a gift idea for the guests. For the parents who were with us, we also had mini bowls with their children's names on them. Unfortunately, I think that La Trinitaine doesn't offer this mini version anymore, it's not online since several months... To be watched!
